I want your opinion, please

So, when you read a "quilting blog", would you prefer to read only about quilting?

Or do you like a bit of personal stuff thrown in?

Do you like to hear about a quilter's garden?

How about pets and grand babies?

This could be a can of worms. :)

I like the personal stuff thrown in here and there. I find it interesting and a way to really connect with other bloggers.

I like the personal stuff thrown in. Makes me feel more connected to the author to know a little about her/his life beyond the latest quilt pattern/book/fabric/thread.

All of it!
Since my blog is quilting with a little life thrown in, I would expect other quilting blogs to be the same.

I agree. A little personal stuff thrown in makes for a well rounded quilter.

I"m interested in hearing about the can of worms.
*giggle*
I like odd little things...experiences, tips, surprises. Sometimes links to other quilty things are fun, too.

I like reading about everything. Life is more than quilting, and its interesting to read about other hobbies people do as well as what may be going on in their corner of the world.

I agree with the others, quilting with all the other "stuff" mingled in. My blog is called Mountain Quilter but I talk about lots of other things, including my chickens!

I too like the personal thrown in. Anything from cool stuff about where you live, great recipes, gardening both flowers and veg especially with recipes to use it up. I'm not so thrilled with pets or even family members since it doesn't relate unless it's decorating for a party theme kind of stuff...anything that can be helpful to and apply to just about anyone!

I agree with your posters. I love to read about quilts, but the "other" stuff makes it well rounded.

A little personal stuff is great, but when there's not enough quilting, there's no reason to read it unless you really know the person.

Mostly quilting but a little personal stuff to round it out. Like others said, it also gives us an insight as to what/why you've created what you have.

I love to read about quilts....but a cute pup laying on the newest quilt makes me smile. I've learned a lot about different parts of the world and even how to make snowcream! Quilters are very kind interesting people!

I do have a garden, but I like to see others'.
Pets? I love pets, I have two.
Worms? Not so much, but bring 'em on maybe I will leran to like them.

I like to hear it all because I learn more about the person that way.

I find that by sharing a bit of the "other" parts of our lives it shares a bit of what inspires us in our quilting and crafting!

I agree with everyone else - I enjoy hearing some of the personal stuff to help me get to know the bloggers better.
