Woo hoo!!! Just pulled fresh from the dryer.....Red Strings.
Please make a note of the heart applique on the bottom right corner. :)
I could have said, my dog chewed it (but I don't have a dog) or I meant to do it (but I was taught not to lie) or I could have said nothing at all (but sometimes you gotta tell on yourself), but here is the real story.....
"Accurate" is not my middle name. I was almost finished with the quilting when I noticed that I didn't catch the edge of one of my strings when making a block, oh so long ago. Too late to take it out and fix it. So, instead I appliqued over it. I think it's kinda cute. And, it's a story to tell.
And, it's done! :)
Happy Quilting!!!!

It looks great to me, actually I love both sides! The heart is a great way to "cover up" the little faux pas :0)
I love quilts that have a story to tell rather than those that are tight-lipped... LOL!
Your quilt turned out great! Love it! (Did I mention red is my fav color?)
It turned out great. It's so nice when it is DONE! Our congregation is having a quilt marathon next week; I'm in charge. THIS is another quilt we could do.
I love your quick fix idea with the heart! Congrats on the completion. I looks marvelous
Oh, that moment when I pull a new quilt out of the drier for the first time! It's a real "ta-da!" kind of moment.
Your Q looks lovely, front and back. And I, too, love the heart applique.
Oh my goodness what a good idea. You made lemonaide out of lemons.
I am the worlds worst at sometimes not catching all of the seam. I just did one tonight. I had to unsew, there I said it, unsewed.
Love the heart.
Carolyn
A good solution to the problem, that makes it original. Wonder if the lady that gave you some of those red fabrics is reading your blog?
congrats on finishing; it's a beautiful quilt!
Done-Done is great! The heart story makes the quilt special.
