Hello Paula. Thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog. It's great to meet new bloggers, especially Christians and it's a bonus when they love making quilts! Your's are really beautiful. I know how much work and time goes into the making.
I have made several but most were Crazy Quilts.
I have been working on one for several years that I made from satin fabrics. Each piece has a picture embroidered on it and all the pieces have different embroidery stitches around them. This is what I call my Family Tree Quilt because each piece has the name and dates both of ancestors and living relatives. I never counted how many pieces there are but I think several hundred. The quilt pieces vary in size and of course in shape since it's a crazy quilt. I am using small beads and buttons etc. It has been lots of fun to make.
I will come back to see more of your pretty quilts. Who knows, you may inspire me to start a new one!

hi paula, thank you so much for stopping by my blog and for the kind and thoughtful get well wishes. i think today i turned a corner and the antibiotic regime is working, the pain is minimal and the drainage is too. the swelling appears to be down as well. to me these are all signs of happy and healthy days ahead. i can't wait till next tuesday when i get to slowly start doing the pinching motion with my new thumb joint. thank god for the miracle of modern medicine. so wish i could join all you gals sewing on friday nights - perhaps soon, for now i'll just read your blogs and pretend i'm having as much fun as you. i've ordered quite a lot to keep me busy when i can get back to full steam ahead. hugs to you!!
