Marcie requested a better picture of my Primitive Christmas Quilt. I'll pretend that the reason it's not quilted is that in Cheri Saffiote's book, 301 Country Christmas Quilt Blocks, she did not quilt hers, but framed it. I really like the way it looks, but honestly, I don't know that I'll hang a framed top at Christmas....maybe I should just quilt it! Oh well, I'll think about that tomorrow.
And, BTW, no comments on the fact that it looks crooked. It's primitive and I really worked hard to get that quilt top crooked. Not easy when you've been trained otherwise! It was fun to make. I just love looking through her books. I want to make one of everything in them.

Oh yes! They are the sweetest! I love all the little plaids and primitive things! I know what you mean about "trying" to make it off-kilter, etc. I always feel I have to explain to those that aren't into that look. "Honest, I meant to do that"! Maybe you should quilt it in the big stitch. "VBS"

Very cute! I used to have trouble sewing 'crooked' with plaids and stripes, but now I just say it gives the piece character. VBG

It's a darling quilt, and wonky and crooked is just right for primitive. I especially like the snowman.
That's a great quilt. I am amazed that people manage to find time to sew gifts during this busy season. You inspire me!
