Better????

Yes, I removed the two stars with white backgrounds. They are now in the orphan blocks drawer. Someday they will make it into a quilt. :)

So, what do you think?? Does it look better?? I think so.

And, this is what else I did today..... I put in a bunch of bedding plants, about 80 of them. And, because of the drought, we almost lost some of our ornamental grass. I'm trying to water them and praying they come back.

One step at a time.

I'll show my garden in a couple of days. We're getting ready for our son, daughter in law and GRANDSON who are coming tomorrow!!! I'm sure I won't be doing much quilting this weekend.

Happy Quilting!!!!!

I do agree with you that the quilt looks better without the white squares :) You did a whole lot of planting and it looks wonderful. I love your yard. Have fun with the family!!

The front yard looks so inviting and your quilt is much better. Surprising how a little change can make such a big difference. Enjoy your family.

I'm definitely no quilter but I think this arrangement looks much nicer!!

Also the yard is FABULOUS I can't wait to see it in person! You've done sooo much to it, I'm so impressed!

Yes! That was the right choice (imho). I can't wait to see the bedding plants fill out. Last year I put a couple of small plant out and this year they just about fill in a 6'X8' area. I'm amazed how everything never stops growing here.

Planting 80 plants would be pure torture for me! It looks SO good though. You have a beautiful shaded front yard.

Funny how just one color can make such an impact on a quilt.
