This Fall Into Fall Give Away is now closed.....

I've joined a group of quilters who are having a "Fall Into Fall Give Away"! Here is my giveaway prize.....

I will be giving away a tiny quilt (7 1/2 x 12 inches)and a half pound of my favorite coffee. I've added these rust colored FQ's too. Perfect for fall, don't you think??? I've also added these Starbucks Truffles and some Milano Cookies, perfect with a cup of Gevalia coffee.

All you have to do is leave a comment to this post telling me what you love about fall and you'll be entered in the drawing. Any comments that do not include this requirement will not be counted in the drawing.

If you do not have a blog, please be sure that I can contact you by e-mail. If I cannot contact you, another name will be chosen.

I will draw a winner on October 15th......so hurry and comment, get your name in the hat!!!

Fall is my favorite time of year. When the weather turns cooler I get out my sweaters and socks, bundle up under a quilt (that I am handquilting) and eat some candy corn!

yellow and browns and fall below the trees appearing like a soft carpet.The cheery blossoms are budding and the waether cooling, a lovely season.

I love fall because of all the comfort foods! I love to bake apple crisp and pumpkin cookies... the smell makes my house so inviting!

Then I love taking a plate of said cookies, curling up on the couch with a good book under a comfy quilt. Life doesn’t get much better than that! It's my favorite time of year.

Days are often beautiful without being too hot. Mornings are crisp - sometimes with little bits of fog floating over the fields about waist high and lower. I love fall foods - pumpkin pie, soups and baked squash with lots of butter and brown sugar. I love the garden bounty that lingers as the days cool down - the last of the tomatoes, summer squash, corn. I love Halloween and all the scary, cute ghosty, witchy, scarecrow-y decorations. Rose said...: I live in the country and I love being able to step outside and hear my family on the tractors working to bring in the last of the crops and hay. I also love when the evenings start to cool off and we can have fires in the old wood burner once again. Those things both bring me peace.

I can move about. I can "over do it" in the yard. I love yard work. After months of being trapped inside with MS & saving myself from the heat, I can once again come out and play!

Fall is a refreshing time of the year after our hot summers... A time for leisurely walks and weekends camping...it reminds me of festivals growing up, especially the Westside Nutclub Fall Festival and all of its wonderful food. for the beautiful colors, the cool crisp air, apple cider, pumpkin bread, pies ...anything pumpkin! even starbucks pumpkin lattes!!!! as I am a big coffee lover!!! and of course the smell of fireplaces burning as I take a walk and dream of the quilts I want to make using the colors in the trees at this time of year. The changing leaves as viewed from the car driving down a 2-lane road remind me of when I was little girl going to visit my grandparents for our annual fall fun day (cider mill, picking/pressing leaves, picking a bushel of apples so gram can make the world's best apple sauce and apple pie, playing in leaf piles, hot chocolate at the end of the day followed by a book read to me by gram and gramps while I snuggled in bed). Each year when I spot the first turning leaves I get a brief pulse of sadness followed by a flood of joy as the memories of fall fun day come back to me. Both grandparents have been gone for more than 10 years and I miss them terribly. When I got married my DH and I started our of fall fun day. This is, by far, my favorite time of year.
