More Finishes

Last night, I whipped up this matching purse and pillowcase for a young lady (12) who is in the hospital. Very tragic circumstances......read Dear Older Daughter's personal website for more info. If you'd like to send cards to the family, it would be appreciated! Just contact my daughter, Erin, through her website.

And, this purse has been done for a while, but the cheap beads I used were falling off and so this morning, I opted for rickrack......and I love the look!

On to quilting the table runner, I am making progress on it and I'm happy with the way it's turning out too!

Sew much to do, sew little time! Happy Quilting!!!!

Love both those bags - great colour schemes and the fluffy edging on the second is particularly gorgeous!! I'm sure the young recepient of the first bag will be thrilled. I'm amazed that you managed to make it AND the pillowcase in one evening - way to go :)

heartbreaking story on your daughters website.
Hope the colourfull bag and pillowcase will cheer the poor girl up. I'm not religious but I'll say a prayer anyway.

Great fabric choices!

I need to go read your daughter's blog--I think I read the basics of the story at about.com's quilting forum.

The bag with the fluffy trim puts me in a great mood. All I need are my red shoes and I am ready for anything.

Oh the story on your daughters blog is just heartbreaking. What a lovely gesture of you to make the lovely bag and pillowcase. I read about how it cheered the dear girl up. My prayers are with the family, and I will continue to read your daughters blog.

Paula, I read all of the posts on your DD's blog concerning the car accident. It breaks my heart. Your daughter is a caring and thoughtful young lady. I'll keep the family in my prayers. The pillowcase and bag are lovely as is the other purse. Great finishes.
