So looks like I am making a red string quilt......didn't plan that one. Just needed some mindless sewing and strings are just the thing.
My Dear Sister-in-Law introduced me to quilting in 1992 and taught me all the basics. I didn't really get totally involved in quilting until 1998. Quilting is my "happy place" in a sometimes crazy world. My Dear Husband introduced me to coffee in 1992 (1992 was a great year!) and we've enjoyed many "happy cups" together. Now, I enjoy coffee and quilts and when I can have them together.....that's the best of times, especially when shared with loved ones.

Amazing what you can construct out of a pile of strips. Looking great.
Red is a favorite color of mine and I love quilts with red in them. The string blocks look great!
I love the red string blocks. I have ideas floating in my head about string blocks now. :^)
great idea making a red string quilt.
are you just sewing the strips randomly together or are you sewing them on to a marked foundation first?
I have so many 1 1/2" strips this would be a great idea to just make string blocks with scrappy though....not sure I have enough red ones without cutting more fabrics up . Thats always a possibility though!
