I did it!!!

I sat down at the sewing machine for about an hour this morning and actually sewed two blocks!! Rather exciting. Of course, I had to drag out tons of fabric to do it...but it's worth it. The sewing room isn't clean looking anymore, but I have an actual project out and I'm working on it, and that feels really good.

Lots to do today....better get busy. I'm hoping to spend a few minutes here and there as I can sewing a seam or two.

Happy Quilting!!!!!!!!

Good for you! I know for me, tidying up the sewing room gets me in a great mood to start sewing. And then I don't want to do anything else for a LONG time! Looks like these will be great fun to do. Obviously you have a great method that works for you.

I've tried all the different methods of making flying geese, and love Eleanor Burns method the very best. I have all her geese rulers, and have learned to make perfect geese of any size with them. I know lots of people swear by the big square-4 little squares method, but when I do that the geese always turn out just a little too small - a scant 1/8" or so.
