Friday was an interesting Quilt Bee. Only three of us were able to make it. We had our devotional as usual, and then we chatted. Never got the quilt out!!!! We were chatting away and one of the three had to leave early. The two left, me and Valerie, decided we ought to take the opportunity to make a run to Chick Fil A. So, not much got done on the quilt, but we had lots of fun visiting. Very good conversation...
This morning, I straightened up the sewing room and found the basket of fabric and a couple of blocks that were to be the Star Quilt Along....by Amanda Jean at Crazy Mom Quilts. I really liked this quilt and started on it.....way back when. I got four blocks made, and other things got in the way. So, today, I pulled out the basket, pulled up her blog, sat down, read and decided to make the setting blocks. So, I cut all 12 blocks and sewed them together. Here they are. They are very dark green.
Now, all I have to do is go back to week five and start making the star blocks. I am making my quilt in green and white, while the original was pink and white. Making it more me by using green. It felt good to be taking the languishing projects and getting them started again. Something I should have done a while back. So glad to have gotten another project out of the stew and onto the front burner!
Happy Quilting!!!!!

Wow...the blocks look great...glad you decided to continue...
I love star quilts and will have to try this pattern. I want to thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment! The name of the quilt I am making is called "It's a Wrap" and I am using the "Merry and Bright" FQ bundle from Moda. It is a quick little quilt and it is adorable for the holidays!
Love this one! Good for you.
That looks great, and I love your color choices. I have my backing ready to go for that quilt, just need to do it!
Hi Paula, I have just found your completed Orange Crush quilt, and I must say, it looks great. Your border colors are reversed from mine, which never occurred to me; and if I had it to do over again, I think I like yours better! I am delighted to know that my quilt inspired you to finish yours, and thanks so much for visiting. I'll be visiting you again too!
did someone mention food?
I'm sure this is going to be a great quilt... looking forward to seeing it when it's finished.
The blocks look great - this is going to be a beautiful quilt!
